Busy July

July was a busy month!  Not only did we have the baby blessing, Dan's aunt visiting and the 4th of July celebrations but we celebrated my 26th birthday!!!  We had a combined party for Dan
Aunt and me on the 4th.  Technically our birthday's weren't until the 12th and 18th but since we were getting together as a family 3 times that week we felt if would be a good time to squeeze it in.  In my actual birthday Dan took me to The Melting Pot!  Thank you to my mom for sending me a gift card for my birthday to The Melting Pot!  It was the highlight if my birthday!

Can you say spoiled?! It was SO awesome!

We also celebrated our 7th anniversary!  We didn't actually celebrate until the the day after on the 29th.  To celebrate we went to The Cheesecake Factory with Ben and Shalyse.  July 28th is there anniversary as well!  We've made it a tradition of going there every year since we've been married and lived close to The Cheesecake Factory.  We went there on our honeymoon and fell in love with the restaurant!

And Charlie turned 2 years old!  We had a combined birthday celebration for him and his cousin, Ethan who turned 3!  We had the family party on the 27th.  2 days after Ethan's birthday and 2 days before Charlie's.  They had some adorable cakes and enjoyed opening their presents.  It was fun because this was Charlie's first year that he actually understood what was going on and wanted to open his presents!

On his actual birthday we made pancakes in the shape of numbers 2s.  We went out for ice cream at a local place that makes some of the best homemade ice cream you will ever taste called Sunni Skies. We waited until two days after his birthday to get ice cream because we went out for our anniversary on his actual birthday and then he was sick the day after.  We went in for his 2 year check up and he had a slight fever and slept pretty much the whole day, day after and then the second day after his birthday.  The doctor said it looked like he was getting an ear infection and to keep an eye on his fever and if it went up to start him on the antibiotic that she prescribed him.  Luckily we didn't have to give it to him!   We were lucky he didn't need to get any shots the day of his appointment!  One thing for sure is he has the small genes!  He's in the >3% for height and was in the 8% for weight.  He's been our smallest at this age!  But no worries, his head is in the 90% :).  Charlie is our fun loving little boy.  Parenting him is a whole new experience from the girls, he is definitely ALL boy!  He loves to hit, kick and throw things.  And I had to laugh when he got into some paints and painted his penis with a paint brush!  He didn't touch the walls or anything else but decided to paint himself all the colors of the rainbow :).  Anyways, lots of good times over here!  I LOVE my little boy.
