1st Birthday

Our dear, sweet Faith turned one 3 days ago.  She has been walking for several weeks and can now run.  Since her ability to walk has increased so has her ability to get into more things! I love that she is walking, which is SO darn cute.....but life has also become 10 times more busier.  She loves to watch people.  It's always interesting when I catch her studying someone, she's been that way since she was pretty young.  She is full of joy and happiness.  Her favorite trick is waving and saying 'bye-bye.'  She will also give hugs, which are still in that open mouth, slobbery phase :). She has started 'dancing' and singing' to certain songs, she'll play on the piano all the time.  I'll try to catch her on camera one of these days.  One thing that is unique to Faith is her growling!  She does this hilarious deep growl which always makes me laugh.  She is the best helper with laundry, a.k.a. she loves to climb into the baskets and empty them as fast as her little arms will allow her to. And she says, 'da-da' for me and Dan. Someday she will say 'ma-ma'!

We celebrated with the family on  Mother's Day, since we were already getting together.  On Faith's actual birthday, we had cupcakes, balloons and party hats.  I'll post a video below of her with her balloons.  She actually started getting sick that day and has been pretty sick since.....it turns out she has the Hand, Foot and Mouth virus.  It has made some pretty rough nights and days these week!

Shalyse is going to help me take some pictures of Faith for her 1st birthday, I'll post those as soon as can.
